Board of Directors of the North American Textile Conservation Conference is
pleased to invite you to Washington, DC to attend the Sixth Biennial Conference
-- Facing Impermanence: Exploring
Preventive Conservation for Textiles, co-sponsored by The Textile Museum, The
National Gallery of Art, and The National Museum of the American Indian from
November 6-9, 2007. The conference will
open on Thursday, November 8 with a keynote speech by Jean Tétreault, Senior
Researcher for the Canadian Conservation Institute. The two-day conference
program will include 17 presentations, eight posters, two evening receptions,
and lunch during the conference. Presentation of papers and posters will take
place at the National Gallery of Art.
The conference will be preceded by two days of workshops. Workshops will
take place at the National Museum of the American Indian, at The Textile
Museum, and the X-radiography workshop will take place at the National Museum
of African Art. Lunch during all
workshops will be included in the workshop fee. For further details

through the generosity of a local foundation, NATCC is able to offer financial
assistance to cover registration ($275) and up to $475 to help cover expenses
for a limited number of applicants. Applications must be received by June 29th
to be considered. NATCC will inform successful applicants by July 20th. We are looking
