Position for Conservator(Textile) at the National
Heritage Board of Singapore
The
National Heritage Board (NHB) is recruiting a conservator (textile).
You
will be working in the first purpose-built Heritage Conservation Centre in
Southeast Asia with the opportunity to conserve a diverse collection of
textile
from Southeast Asia and Asia. You will
also coordinate preventive conservation projects and participate in exhibition
planning teams for the Asian
Civilisation Museum, National Museum of Singapore, Singapore Art
Museum and the upcoming Peranakan
Museum.
You
should be a graduate of a recognized training program, with one or two years of
work experience in textile conservation, or equivalent. Experience with
exhibition planning and display issues is also required. You should also
be self-disciplined, motivated and an independent team member.
The
standard contract duration is based on minimum of 2 +1 years. This is however
negotiable.
An
attractive remuneration, relocation package and other benefits is available in
accordance with qualification, experience and potential.
Monthly
Scale: S$ 2,030 - $5,040 / S$4,180 - S$6,750 (excluding gratuity)
