Hi Jeannette,
There is a suppiler in West London called
Appleton Bros Ltd
Thames Works, Church St, London, W4 2PE
Tel: 020 8994
They have a wide range of coloured embroidery wools and you can order
individual skeins from a swatch card. Hope this helps,
Alice

Hello all,

At the moment I am working on a wool embroidered wall hanging from the
first part of the 20th century. The 2-ply wool yarns are of a fine
quality and remind me of the yarns used for knitting and mending woollen
socks. Does anyone know where this kind of wool can be pur chased in a
wide range of colours, preferable in Europe?

with regards,
Jeannette Huy
