The Department of Human Ecology has been successfully using a Staco
portable variable transformer model 3PN1010B for many years. The vacuum
cord plugs into the transformer which plugs into the power outlet. The
dial on top is positioned to provide suction from 0-100% of full power.
We were recently able to purchase a second one for another university
collection from a local electronics company.
