Thank you Ann.  I figured that the D&D building was the place to look, I just have to get a decorator to get me in there.  I have only seen jpegs of the chairs but will have access to them to ID the fiber.

Is the velvet silk, cotton, or mohair?  Schumacher, Scalamandre, Brunswig & fils, and Jane Smiley are establishments that carry velvets and are always located in your local design mart where interior decorators purchase fabric.  If it is silk I believe Jane Smiley carries, Jack Lennor Larson upholstery velvet.

Hello All!

 

I have a client who has a couple of antique chairs that were upholstered in a deep red velvet that is now worn and torn.  They would like a similar looking fabric, naturally.  Do any of you know of a manufacturer or distributor who specializes in "old" looking velvets for upholstery?
