AIC Online Course, "Marketing for Conservation" to begin 28 April



The American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works (AIC) is pleased to announce it will offer the four-week online course "Marketing for Conservation," to the second in the series of online courses on Business and Management Practices for Conservators, starting Thursday, 28 April, 2005.

Whether you are just starting out in private practice or want to expand your current marketing efforts; whether you are in private practice working alone or are in charge of marketing for your institution, this course can help you to:

<>--Describe your business from a marketing point of view
--Define and conduct research to help develop a marketing strategy
--Understand the role of marketing strategy
--Lay the groundwork for an effective marketing plan

The course consists of weekly exercises (on- and off-line), access to special resources, and discussions with other course participants.  Sarah Lowengard will be the course leader.

You can participate at your convenience, from anywhere that you have internet access.

Registration for AIC members is $120. The course begins April 28; the registration deadline is April 25.
