I might try to make a small mount for the gloves of acid free matte
board or film ethafoam that could be inserted into the glove and then
attached to the backing board.  The gloves would fit onto the insert (as
if it were a hand) and would have a slight 3-D look.  I would caution
against making the insert too tight  a fit as that might put strain on
the kid leather.  The insert could also be covered with a jersey knit
fabric.

Hope that helps and may promote some discussion on alternate solutions
