TEXTILE CONSERVATION
£20,500 to £29,763
The V&A has one of the World's most comprehensive collections of textiles, representing the decorative arts of many periods and cultures. The Museum is looking for a Textile Conservator to undertake practical conservation of the V&A's wide ranging textile collection. The Department has a world-wide reputation for the excellence of its practical work, innovative ideas, teaching of conservation practice and for pioneering the scientific and ethical approach to conservation.
You will possess a recognised qualification in textile conservation and have a minimum of two years' practical studio experience. It is essential that you can organise your work with the minimum of supervision, produce a high standard of work within tight deadlines and offer clear and concise advice on conservation matters. You must be able to produce accurate written reports and documentation, have an interest in exploring new ideas and innovative techniques as well as having the ability to work as part of a team.
