Hello,
I am looking for a source for fabrics which incorporate traditional Chinese motifs. I have already consulted our regular suppliers at the Boston Design Center (Scalamandre, Old World Weavers, etc.) and also have had no luck in Boston's Chinatown, or on the web.
We are looking for a replacement for a late 19th C. blue voided velvet with a traditional pattern of peonies with peaches, butterflies, and bats. I'm not looking to match it exactly, but would be happy if we could find something that was of similar scale and colour. As we only need a small amount of fabric, we are looking for a stock fabric available by the yard.
Any advice on retail stores, or mail-order/internet sources would be most appreciated. Thank you,
