Re: Cleaning old textiles.

Hi Geoff,

The Bishop Museum in Hawaii has a page on there web site dealing with 
cleaning quilts in a tank you create yourself with plastic, etc.  The page is 
under their conservation and collection care section.   www.bishop.hawaii.org 
is their web site.  Again they recommend conferring with a conservator before 
any cleaning takes place but this will give you another option to the washing 
machine.
