analyses for charity

I'm cross-posting this from the OSG-L to give texcons members an
opportunity to particapate:

- from OSG-L

Thank you for the many replies I've received to my call for analytical
projects to benefit charity. We will have time for a few more small-scale
projects, so if you've been on the fence about this, it's time to get off.

The study is providing an opportunity for a junior at Williams to learn
about spectroscopic analysis of historic and artistic works, by assisting
me in the lab with SEM-EDS and FTIR microscopy. All work is done by me or
under my direct visual supervision at Williams College and my new lab at
Orion Analytical, LLC.

In lieu of compensation for analyses and my teaching/supervisory time (4
hours/week), we ask that donations be made to a local charity, the
Berkshire Food Project (our goal is $2000 by semester end).
