The National Archives and Records Administration seeks qualified
candidates for the following senior management position:
Preservation Program Officer, GS-1001-13/14, in the Preservation
Programs of the Office of Records Services - Washington DC. Vacancy

The scope of this position is to address the preservation needs of
NARA's Office of Regional Records Services consisting of 18 regional
archives and record center facilities across the United States. Each
region operates a program encompassing the full life cycle of records,
involving a range of record types and media. Serves as a member of
Preservation Programs managerial team.
Duties include:
--Acts as a program manager and liaison between Preservation Programs
and NARA organizations.
--Develops budget requests to fund preservation activities for assigned
program areas.
--Directs, coordinates or participates in preservation projects and
studies to resolve complex issues.
--Develops and maintains liaison relationships, and represents
Preservation Programs and NARA preservation policy to other Federal
agencies and non-Federal organizations.
--Develops and delineates needs for research and development.
--Participates in the active building renovation and new construction
program for regional facilities
