NCSU Libraries invites applications and nominations for the following position:

ASSOCIATE HEAD AND CURATOR, SPECIAL COLLECTIONS RESEARCH CENTER

Shares management responsibility for a department of 7 librarians, 3 staff, and 5 graduate assistants, and represents the department in the absence of the department head. In the role of Curator, works closely with faculty, researchers, administrators, and collection managers to build primary source, rare book, and born-digital collections; builds distinguished collections in focus areas, such as the history of computing and simulation, architecture, plant and forestry genetics and genomics, and veterinary medicine, that complement the general collection in areas of strength and emphasis for the university. Qualifications include: ALA-accredited MLS or equivalent advanced degree in a related field. Minimum of three years’ relevant professional experience in collecting and managing special collections. Minimum salary $55,000 with required qualifications or $60,000 with preferred qualifications. Search by position number: C-60-0807.
