The PARS Preservation Forum, sponsored by Preservation and Reformatting Section, will be held Sunday, January 13 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the Philadelphia Convention Center (PCC) Room 103-C. This presentation and discussion will introduce the ALA membership to the IMLS/Heritage Preservation "Connecting to Collections" grant initiative, which began in 2007 and will continue through 2009, with statewide preservation planning grants available to all 50 states.
Nancy Rogers of IMLS and Kristen Laise of Heritage Preservation will talk about the program, which grew in part out of the Heritage Health Index study.
