Save the Date! CCAHA Archives Program in April 2008 Managing and
Preserving Archival Collections presented by the April 17 & 18, 2008 Cosponsored and hosted by The
Johns Hopkins Sheridan Libraries Proper archival
procedures and preservation actions enable safe and effective management of
archival collections. Attendees at this two-day program will gain insight
into management and preservation activities that will improve intellectual
control over collections, increase collections accessibility, and assist in
long-term preservation initiatives. Day 1 An Introduction to Archival
Management: Appraisal, Arrangement, and Description Presented by Beth Bensman, CA, Certified Archivist and private
consultant. Day 2 Archives Preservation: Maintaining

Conservator at the National Archives and Records Administration The fee for this two-day program is $180 for CCAHA member institutions
