[padg] Survey of research library conservation and repair practices

Many thanks to all who participated in our conservation survey; response has
been very good so far. The survey remains open through this weekend so there is
still time for those who haven't had a chance to participate. If you are not in
the survey's target audience, please consider forwarding this notice on to the
appropriate individual(s) at your institution. Thanks so much for your
interest.

_______
Practitioners of general and/or special collections book conservation or repair
in research libraries are encouraged to participate in an anonymous, online
survey located at
http://conservation.survey.sgizmo.com.

The survey is part of a research project to document and analyze current book
treatment practices and trends in research libraries worldwide. It should take
no more than 10-20 minutes to complete and is intended for the individual(s)
with primary responsibility for book conservation and/or repair. Institutions
with multiple conservation/repair units may
respond either once for the entire institution or individually for each unit,
whichever is easiest.

The results of our research will be shared widely. The survey will remain open
until September 30, 2007; your participation is greatly appreciated.
