[PADG:1410] RE: ANAGPIC Website Announcement

Hi Ellen!

The website looks great!

Andrea?s bio got me to thinking...and I?m wondering, do you think it?d be worthwhile to mention my metalworking experience in my ANAGPIC bio?  It relates to the topic and it certainly prompted my interest in the subject.  It could read:

Erin Hammeke is a Master?s candidate in the Kilgarlin Center in the School of Information at the University of Texas at Austin.  She holds a degree in Art History and Fine Art, with an emphasis on metalworking and sculpture, from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.  She is currently a rare book conservation intern at the Weissman Preservation Center, Harvard University, and will graduate in May, 2007.

If it?s too late to change the bio, or if you don?t think it would be appropriate, it?s no problem?just thought I?d ask.  Thanks!

Erin

Subject: [PADG:1408] ANAGPIC Website Announcement
Date: Thu, 22 Feb 2007 13:16:03 -0600

Dear Colleagues:

The Association of North American Graduate Programs in Conservation (ANAGPIC) is pleased to announce its new website: www.ischool.utexas.edu/~anagpic.  The website hosts information about ANAGPIC member institutions as well student research papers that have been presented at ANAGPIC's Annual Student Conferences.  ANAGPIC has traditionally created a print copy of the student papers; beginning in 2005 the membership voted to publish the papers on the Web so that they will be more accessible to our conservation and preservation colleagues.

ANAGPIC was founded in May 1984.  Member organizations are:

*Buffalo State College, State University of New York, Art Conservation Department
*Harvard University Art Museums, Straus Center for Conservation and Technical Studies
*New York University, Conservation Center, Institute of Fine Arts
*Queen's University, Art Conservation Program
*Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation
*The University of Texas at Austin, School of Information, Kilgarlin Center for Preservation of the Cultural Record.

Best wishes,

Ellen
