[PADG:863] upcoming conference in Michigan



The University of Michigan Library and the National Commission on Library
and Information Science are cosponsoring a free, two-day conference,
"Scholarship and Libraries in Transition:  a Dialogue About the Impacts of
Mass Digitization Projects", in Ann Arbor on March 10 and 11.  (Please see
http://lib.umich.edu/mdp/symposium/ for more information.)  The Library's
preservation programs staff is happy to open its conservation and
digitization labs on Thursday afternoon, March 9, 1:00 - 3:00 P.M. to
interested visiting colleaagues.  Please note that this will not include the
conversion lab operated as part of the Michigan Digitization Project -
Michigan's partnership with Google.
