Our Library is looking to purchase 8 to 10 new microfilm readers for our library that is in the process of being remodeled. We would like them to have the following characteristics. If you library/organization has purchased anything like this or even semi-close, can you please contact me off list with the details?

microfilm (35mm and 16mm) and convertible to read fiche
high speed spooling and unspooling, easy threading
table top model

between $10,000 and $15,000 each

can be hooked up to a network printer for output of paper copies
(and big time dreaming here!!) has some sort ( USB??) of external output device to allow patrons to download/output digital copies, WITHOUT being hooked up to an actual CPU- [physical space allocated to these readers is minimal, thus each will not be assigned a CPU]
