[PADG:1728] Yale appoints Bobbie Pilette as Head of Preservation
I am delighted to announce that Roberta "Bobbie" Pilette will be joining us
on 30 September 2002 as Yale's Head of Preservation and Chief Preservation
Officer.
Ms. Pilette brings many outstanding experiences and qualifications to the
position. Most recently, she is serving as Acting Aaron and Clara Greenhut
Rabinowitz Chief Librarian for Preservation at the New York Public Library.
The NYPL has long been known for its major national research library
preservation program. Additionally, she is a seasoned and talented
conservator, with substantial experience at Columbia University, the
New-York Historical Society, and other organizations. She has also had her
own private conservation practice in New York City. Her other experiences
include consulting, as well as teaching conservation at Columbia University
and the University of Texas at Austin, and preservation at the Palmer
School of Library and Information Science.
We are happy to welcome Bobbie to Yale.
