[PADG:1478] Book repair glues

Hello

We are currently using Gaylord's "Archival quality" ph-neutral
polyvinayl acetate adhesive for our in-house book repairs. As we were
preparing to re-order, our book repair specialist found a stash of older
bottles of adhesive, all unopened. There are three different kinds, none
of which identify themselves as PVA. They are:

DuraBond water-soluble liquid adhesive, distributed by University Products

Magic Mend water-soluble liquid plastic adhesive, distributed by Gaylord

Book-Saver liquid plastic hinge for book repair, produced and
distributed by Highsmith

Can anyone give me any information about these products? In the interest
of efficiency and economy I would like to see them used up, but not at the
risk of damaging our collections.

Thanks,

Greg
