[PADG:883] Re: ALA, Physical Quality & Treatment Discussion Group

Dear Ethel,
I will be unable to attend the ALA meeting. However, I feel very strongly
that conservation treatment statistics in the ARLs need to be significantly
refined. For example, two hours is the maximum time counted for treatment,
and this fails to capture items that have taken perhaps six hours or even
twenty hours each to treat. Thus if I have six items that have averaged
ten hours each, the stats will show "six items at two hours or more." This
does not provide enough differentiation.
