Position filled at the University of Kentucky
The University of Kentucky Libraries are pleased to announce that Whitney
Baker will join the Preservation Dept in May as the Conservation Librarian.
Ms. Baker graduated from the PCS program at the University of Texas,
Austin, and she completed an internship at the Library of Congress. She
also served as a Conservator in LC's Conservation Office preparing
materials for digitization in the National Digital Library Project.
Ms. Baker's coservation experience aslo includes assignments at the Harry
Ransom Center in Austin, University of Iowa, Kansas State Historical
Society and Museum, and Wichita State University.
At the University of Kentucky, Ms. Baker will oversee the Conservation
Unit which provides a wide range of services to the general collections and
some very specialized services to the Rare Books and Archives Division.
