     A joint meeting of the Preservation Course and Workshop Instructors 
     and the Preservation Education and Outreach Discussion Groups 
     Sunday, Jan 31, 1999
     11:30 am -1:30 pm
     Sheraton Society Hill, Bromley
     
     The focus of this meeting is to provide a forum for the exchange of 
     ideas and techniques for those who teach full semester courses in 
     Preservation.  To kick off the discussion panelists will introduce 
     different approaches to teaching full semester courses including 
     team teaching, incorporating preservation into the core curriculum, 
     and methods for teaching about digital imaging.  
     
     Panelists: Winston Atkins, North Carolina State; Michele Cloonan, 
     UCLA Graduate School of Education and Information Studies; and 
     Steve Dalton, Northeast Document Conservation Center
     
     We will also provide an update on the Preservation Educators' 
     Exchange Web Site, and a discussion and vote on whether to 
     recommend combining these two discussion groups.
