Polyglot binding dictionary

Good afternoon,

Yet another question I hope the generous PADG gang can help me
answer!

Does a polyglot binding dictionary exist? When members of the
preservation staff here at Tulane go into the stacks to pull complete
journals, there can sometimes be difficulties with foreign languages.
I was hoping that there is such a thing as a small (so they can take
it with them into the stacks) volume with terminology ("edition",
"volume", "printed annually", "published four times a year",
"supplement", etc.) in many different languages (french, german,
spanish, russian, etc.).

If such a creature exists, is it still in print? Can I purchase one?
In researching this question, I discovered that there is such a
polyglot dictionary for conservation terminology. (Glossary of basic
archival and library conservation terms published by K.G. Saur for
International Council on Archives in 1988) That is the right idea, but
the wrong kind of words.

If it turns out that there is a need for this kind of work ( and I
believe there is or I would not be bothering the list about it!) I
would be willing to start working on it. However, if one already
exists, I do not want to reinvent the wheel.

Thanks in advance for any help/insight!
