ALCTS/PARS Physical Quality and Treatment Discussion Group for ALA Mid-Winter, New Orleans

The Physical Quality and Treatment Discussion Group will meet on Saturday, 
January 10, 1998, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Doubletree Hotel, Rosedown 
Room A.

The main topic of discussion will be leather dressings. Kristen St. John, 
author of ?An Annotated Bibliography on Leather Dressing? (The New Library 
Scene, June 1997) will present an overview of the history and uses of 
dressings.

Don Etherington will talk about the advantages and disadvantages of dressings 
and consolidants, based on his many years of experience in the field and his 
continuing use, research, and observations.

Following the presentations/discussions on leather dressing, Dick Smith will 
report on his upcoming complete line of Wei T?o products which contain no 
CFCs or HCFCs. He will discuss the improved working qualities based on lab 
tests and use data.
