Paintings Conservator
Munch Museum
1 year appointment

Edvard Munch's art is Norway's most important contribution to world
art history. As custodian of the biggest collection of Munch's
artworks, the Munch Museum is in a unique position to promote this
legacy both in Norway and internationally. The Munch Museum is
established as a separate agency in Oslo with responsibility for
both the Munch Museum and the Stenersen Museum. These collections
will be housed in a new building in Bjorvika, Oslo

A one-year position for a Paintings Conservator is now available in
the Museum's Conservation Department, in connection with maternity
leave. The Conservation Department is responsible for the care of
Munch's and Stenersen's collections, mainly consisting of paintings
and works on paper. The department is also responsible for research
and investigations in connection with the development of methods for
the conservation of Edvard Munch's artworks.
