Paintings Conservator Munch Museum 1 year appointment Edvard Munch's art is Norway's most important contribution to world art history. As custodian of the biggest collection of Munch's artworks, the Munch Museum is in a unique position to promote this legacy both in Norway and internationally. The Munch Museum is established as a separate agency in Oslo with responsibility for both the Munch Museum and the Stenersen Museum. These collections will be housed in a new building in Bjorvika, Oslo A one-year position for a Paintings Conservator is now available in the Museum's Conservation Department, in connection with maternity leave. The Conservation Department is responsible for the care of Munch's and Stenersen's collections, mainly consisting of paintings and works on paper. The department is also responsible for research and investigations in connection with the development of methods for the conservation of Edvard Munch's artworks.
