The Junior Fellows Program is open to undergraduate and graduate
students from any discipline to experience the integrated analog and
digital collections and services of the world's largest,
all-inclusive library. Working under the direction of Library
curators and specialists in various divisions, Fellows explore
digital initiatives and increase access to the institution's
unparalleled collections and resources. Fellows are exposed to a
broad spectrum of library work: copyright, preservation, reference,
access, and information technology. Students applicants will rank
their top three projects choices from a list of 26 projects. If
selected, students will either work 1:1 with their Project Mentor or
be placed on a small team and collaborate with one or two other
Junior Fellows in addition to their Project Mentor.

The 2016 Junior Fellows program will take place from May 31, 2016 to
August 5, 2016 (fellows must be present for the entirety of the
program). Fellows are paid a $300 weekly, non-taxable stipend
during this 10-week program. The Library's stipend is meant to
defray the cost of housing, food, travel, and other expenses. The
program offers Fellows a transportation subsidy for the duration of
their internship in addition to the Fellows' regular stipend. Please
