Senior Conservation Technician, Time-Based Media Tate Permanent, Full Time Reporting to: Time-Based Media Conservator Location: Southwark, London Reference: TG1194 Band: 4L Department: Conservation We are seeking an experienced Senior Technician to work within our Time Based Media Conservation team. The role will support programme activity across our wide range of exhibitions and displays. The initial focus of the role will be on the preparation of the new Tate Modern displays as we prepare for the opening of the new gallery spaces in June 2015. The Senior Conservation Technician, Time Based Media) needs to be able to work independently on the preparation and installation of time based media artworks across the Tate sites. The time based media collection covers a broad spectrum of artworks, covering both analogue and digital technologies. The role will require the ability to provide specialist technical advice to a range of stakeholders and effective communication skills. You must be able to demonstrate strong technical knowledge and skills required for the preparation of time based media artworks. You must have a pragmatic approach to problem-solving, have excellent communication skills, and be able to work flexibly and under pressure.
