June Baker Trust Grants for Emerging Conservators The June Baker Trust is inviting applications to round two of its Emerging Conservators grants scheme, which aims to help conservators at an early stage in their careers establish themselves in the profession. The scheme gives grants to support conservators with strong Scottish connections in the process of gaining their early workplace experience to fund a learning and development plan of their own choosing. If you are between 6 months and 3 years of qualifying you are eligible to apply for a grant of up to UKP1,000 to fund learning and development activities. You must be gaining practical experience in a Scottish conservation workplace, or can otherwise demonstrate a strong Scottish connection and commitment to conservation in Scotland. The learning and development plan must meet the June Baker Trust's objectives for the scheme which are for recently qualified conservation professionals to: Build professional networks Gain practical and employability skills Widen sector understanding with the aim of gaining practical experience and improving their future employability. The scheme will run for further year with a third round in February 2017, and has been made possible thanks to the generosity of the Gordon Fraser Charitable Trust. Please note that the Emerging Conservators grants scheme runs alongside the June Baker Trust's regular scheme giving grants to Conservators in Scotland.
