Salary: Commensurate with experience, minimum UKP24,648.00 per annum
pro rata

Textile Conservation Limited is a busy independent studio with a
team of three conservators.  We undertake the treatment of a wide
range of textiles for clients in the public and private sectors. The
studio also carries out condition surveys, provides practical and
strategic advice on preventive conservation, and offers placements
for students and interns.

We are looking for a qualified textile conservator with a good
working knowledge of textile conservation techniques and materials
and the attitude and skills to function effectively and to high
standards within a commercial context.  As the work programme is
often directed by tight deadlines it is essential that you have the
ability to assess accurately and quickly condition problems and
treatment times, to devise and carry out effective conservation
treatments (in the studio and on-site) in an efficient way, and to
prepare clear and concise documentation reports.  You must be able
to work both independently and collaboratively and to interact
appropriately with colleagues, clients and the general public.  A
full driving licence is desirable.

The position would suit an entry level conservator.  Guidance on
less familiar problems and treatment methods will be provided if
necessary.  More experienced individuals are welcome to apply.
