Senior Conservator Paper/Textiles National Museum of Australia Canberra The National Museum of Australia is seeking a Senior Conservator Paper/Textiles to work in its Conservation Section. The position is ongoing and full-time, at APS6 level. As well as the application of risk management to the care and management of the collections, providing preservation advise to other sections and collection and material research. In addition, the Section is involved in a range of activities across the Museum including participation in public programs. The Senior Conservator, Paper/Textiles co-ordinates and supervises the activities of the paper and textiles conservators who are responsible for the preservation, maintenance and exhibition preparation of a wide variety of Museum objects. The successful applicant will have a high level of conservation knowledge and skills, be able to manage projects and deliver work on time and to budget, and lead and develop a skilled team of conservation professionals.
