Imaging Technician
Royal Collection Trust

Location: Windsor Castle

4 Year Fixed Term Contract
37.5 hours per week

Salary band: UKP23,000 - 24,000 per annum, pro rata, plus benefits
and a 15% employer-contribution pension scheme

About the role: It's bringing centuries of history into the digital
age. It's being trusted to deliver, and it's finding new ways to
share the Royal Archives. This is what makes working for Royal
Collection Trust so satisfying. The Royal Archives has a uniquely
rich and engrossing history, and contains manuscripts of the
Sovereign and Members of the Royal Family spanning over 250 years.
Your challenge will be to provide public access to material stored
within the Royal Archives through digitisation. You'll capture and
produce high quality images of archive items, before transferring
them to catalogue databases for permanent storage. You'll analyse
every digital image for quality and metadata compliance, carrying
out vital quality assurance checks. Assisting with on-going
projects, you'll also support the wider team. Every day your work
will allow a broader audience to engage with one of the world's most
interesting Archive collections.

About you: You'll already have experience of capturing and producing
high quality digital images, as well as some expertise in digital
imaging software, making you a real asset to our team. You'll also
ideally have experience of working with archival material and
excellent knowledge of workflows in a digital environment.
Self-motivated with a meticulous eye for detail, you're confident
creating and interpreting metadata, meeting all current metadata
standards. Good organisational and planning skills are essential,
as you'll be meeting regular project deadlines. Above all, your
positive proactive approach, along with your strong communication
skills mean you'll enjoy working within our team, who bring to life
a unique history.

This is your opportunity to use your digital imaging skills to
deliver the exceptional. In return you will be rewarded with a
comprehensive benefits package, including 33 days holiday (inclusive
of Bank Holidays), a 15% employer contribution pension scheme (with
the option for flexibility--to increase contributions or draw down
as salary), lunch provided, with training and development, as well
as a range of recreational facilities.

Application Closing Date: 10 November 2015
