Call for Abstracts
41st International Symposium on Archaeometry (ISA)
Kalamata, Greece
May 15-21, 2016

This is an invitation for abstract submission, early registration
and grant applications for the 41st International Symposium on
Archaeometry (ISA), which will take place in May 15-21, 2016 in
Kalamata, Greece.

The 41st International Symposium on Archaeometry (ISA), is a most
welcome forum to present the latest data and updates of archaeometry
research and archaeological science, covering the full spectrum of
topics, materials, techniques, time span and global applications.

The final programme will be available in February 2016 and will
consist of 20 minute oral presentations, poster contributions and 30
minutes plenary/invited lectures from distinguished scientists,
under the following sessions:

    Remote sensing, geophysical prospection and field archaeology

    Archaeo-chronometry

    Human-environment interactions and biomaterials -bioarchaeology

    Stone, plaster and pigments

    Ceramics, glazes, glass and vitreous materials

    Metals and metallurgical ceramics

Additionally, the 41st ISA will host two special sessions:

    Environmental Remote Monitoring for Archaeology and Cultural
    Heritage

    The Beginning of the Bronze Age in Eastern Mediterranean

and will run a panel discussion on History, Archaeology and
Archaeometry: Defining a Relationship, all aiming at drawing extra
attention on new research and application challenges for scholars
from the fields of humanities and science.  Besides, this
interdisciplinary osmosis is always one of the key-issues that the
ISA symposia demonstrate.

The submission deadline for student grants is December 15, 2015.

discount fee is 170 Euro (90 Euro for students).  More information
