Salary:  UKP31,858 to UKP36, 807
Job Type: Permanent

Description: This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in
progressing book conservation initiatives.  You will lead a team of
several conservators and manage the team's conservation programme.

This will include:

    Estimating resources

    Solving problems

    Evaluating the risks associated with any proposed solutions

    Contributing to the operational management of the conservation
    team

    Responsibility for allocating, delegating and managing various
    tasks across teams

    Lead/ develop operations, management of systems and services
    such as (but not exclusively) Exhibitions, Loans, Public
    Programmes and Health and Safety

You need to have either a degree in conservation or equivalent
knowledge and skills sets, and practical experience in book
conservation and or managing large conservation projects.

You should also have a high level of manual dexterity and the
ability to treat fragile and delicate materials, together with
knowledge of material.
