Traineeship in metals conservation Victoria and Albert Museum Fixed term, 3 years UKP 21,214 per annum Closing date: 26 October 2015 An exciting opportunity to train within the V&A's Conservation Department is offered. The trainee will specialise in metals conservation. The training will be supervised and assessed in the workplace throughout the paid three-year contract. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced V&A specialist conservators who will be undertaking the supervision and mentoring of the candidate. The V&A has developed a work-based training qualification: the V&A Conservation Diploma, accredited by British Inn Keepers Association at Diploma level 5. This nationally recognised qualification provides a unique opportunity for an emerging graduate metals conservator with a high level of competence to further develop their practical skills, and build their knowledge. The successful candidate will have completed a recognised training course to degree level specialising in metals conservation.
