Open Day for Conservation, Digitization and Research Laboratories Yale Institute for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage (IPCH) Friday, November 6 2-5pm With the completion of the conservation laboratory in spring 2015, Stefan Simon, Director, Institute for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage and Ian McClure, Chair of the Conservation Laboratory Steering Committee, welcome colleagues to view the Conservation, Digitization and Research Laboratories. The Conservation Laboratory is a single space with areas assigned to objects, paintings and works on paper, designed to promote sharing and collaboration. The Research and Digitization Laboratories, which opened in 2013, are adjacent to the Conservation Laboratory, enabling close working relationships. Samuel Anderson Architects designed the Conservation Laboratory and Samuel Anderson and Edward Gormley will be present to discuss their vision for the lab and its implementation.
