"Mitigating Risk: Contracts and Insurance for Conservation"

The Foundation for the American Institute for Conservation (FAIC)
announces open registration for its popular online workshop,
"Mitigating Risk" now in a revised format. "Mitigating Risk" is
facilitated by Sarah Lowengard and is part of FAIC's online
education series, "Business and Management Practices for
Conservators." Funded by The Getty Foundation, the series offers
basic business skills with a focus on the needs of the conservation
community.

This year, the workshop comes to you in three parts:

    I. Contracts
            October 19-30, 2015

    II. Insurance
            November 2-13, 2015

III. Capstone Webinar, "Mitigating Risk: Making Your
            Contracts and Insurance Work Together"
            November 17, 2015

Part One and Two include:

An opening (real-time) webinar to introduce the topic and give
you a chance to express your special concerns or interests

A 10-day period, when you can explore and complete worksheets
and exercises, draft critical documents, and ask (or answer)
    more questions

A closing (real-time) webinar to share what you've learned, plus
tips and tricks to help you to apply this new knowledge to your
    practice

Part Three includes:

Single webinar: "Mitigating Risk: Making Your Contracts and
        Insurance Work Together"

You can register for one part OR parts one AND two (which includes
part three for free).

Participants who register for both sessions will be invited to
participate in an additional webinar. In this capstone session, we
will strategize ways to use the knowledge you've gained to protect
your practice from standard business risks, including how to make
contracts and insurance work together to your benefit.
