Call for abstracts "Analytical Methodologies and Research Partnerships at the Interface of Chemistry and Art/Archaeology" American Chemical Society 251st National Meeting and Exposition March 13-17, 2016 The GCI and the University of California at Santa Barbara are organizing a symposium--"Analytical Methodologies and Research Partnerships at the Interface of Chemistry and Art/Archeology--at the American Chemical Society's 251st National Meeting and Exposition, which will take place in San Diego, California March 13-17, 2016. The symposium will highlight techniques used in, or developed for, the analysis of cultural heritage objects, and how new and emerging partnerships (both academic/museum and industrial/museum) foster such development. Invited speakers include: Katherine Faber (California Institute of Technology), Melinda Keefe (The Dow Chemical Company), Mehdi Moini (George Washington University), Stefan Simon (Yale University, Institute for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage), and Kenneth Suslick (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign). Your contributed papers discussing the use or development of analytical techniques for the analysis of cultural heritage objects or sites are welcome.
