Senior Technician - Art Conservation

GBP 26,479 - 32,181 per annum

Working with the Academic Team within the Department of Arts the
post will be primarily responsible for supporting and managing Art
Conservation areas.  You will provide specialist technical support
to the 2 year MA Art Conservation course, art conservation studios
and laboratory environments, with special emphasis on the safe
management of laboratories, equipment and chemicals.  In addition
you will run workshops, produce demonstration and reference
materials for students, and help to maintain and run the facilities.

You should have comprehensive knowledge of current technical
practice relevant to Art Conservation.  A team player, with
excellent interpersonal skills, you will have experience of
developing and delivering demonstration activities to provide
excellent student experiences.  Keeping up-to-date with current and
forthcoming technical developments with special emphasis on Art
Conservation in support of learning, teaching, research and
enterprise activity in the faculty is essential to be successful in
the role.
