Conservator (Frames) Guildhall Art Gallery London Fixed Term Contract until 31 March 2016 Part time, 3 days per week Salary - UKP32,280 per annum (pro-rata) inclusive of London weighting Guildhall Art Gallery holds the City of London's permanent art collection. It is an accredited art gallery offering a lively exhibitions programme to the public. The collection comprises over 6,000 oil paintings, sculptures and works on paper. Highlights include London topographical subjects from the 17th century to the present, Victorian paintings, civic and royal portraits from the 17th century onwards and the Sir Matthew Smith studio collection. Our conservation team currently consists of a part-time Senior Conservator (paintings), a part-time Lead Conservator (frames) and a part-time Conservator (paintings). We are looking for a talented frames conservator to conserve frames in the permanent collection to meet the needs of our dynamic public programme; to contribute to the ongoing documentation of the frames collection; and to and take an active role in the life of the Conservation Section.
