We now have an exciting opportunity in our Preservation Section for an enthusiastic and motivated individual, to work on the conservation of the artwork and archives of the famous Victorian artist and traveller, Marianne North. Working with the Senior Conservator, you will be responsible for the documentation and conservation of the Marianne North paintings and archive materials, held in the Library Art and Archive Collections, which were not part of the HLF funded Marianne North Gallery Project. Depending on the progress of the project, there will also be opportunities to assist in other conservation tasks and programmes across LAA and Kew. You will have a graduate qualification in paper conservation, or equivalent experience, preferably with a specialism in oil paintings on paper.
