The Smithsonian American Art Museum will advertise the position of
Objects Conservator on

in late August - early September, 2015.

The position will be a full-time, permanent position.  The Federal
position will be at a GS-11 level (starting salary $63,722).

The Smithsonian American Art Museum and its Renwick Gallery share a
conservation department.  The collection includes a wide-range of
art materials.  Artwork includes 18th century to contemporary
sculpture, decorative arts and craft.  The conservation department
is based in the Lunder Conservation Center, a visible conservation
laboratory space.
