We have a project under the title of: "Investigating Effects of
Chronopathy on Archives and Compiling Strategies in Core Archival
Functions Framework". The project supervisor is Dr. Nader
Naghshineh.

The main objective of this research is a conceptual study on
archives future-proofing. This research tries to compare archiving
in its general meaning with long-term archival projects (such as
time capsule and The Long Now Foundation projects) and considering
their differences, use the main principles governing these long-term
projects to drastically increase the time window.

Chronopathy: Chronopathy in this research includes all potential and
occurring damages which might affect an archival material due to the
passage of time (including: Internal Factors, Physical Factors,
Chemical Factors, Biological Factors, Natural Disasters, Technology
obsolescence, and Intentional Attacks).

Future-Proofing: Future-proofing in this research refers to the
capability to preserve the value and guaranteeing long-term usage of
archival materials and thrive of information system against the
damages passage of time might lead to. This is considered as a
preventive conservation and its strategies must be considered in all
stages--from production time to accessing these materials.

Hence, a researcher-made questionnaire is designed for endorsement
and expansion of research quality issues. Since the archival field
is new in our country (Iran) as a field of study, it is supposed to
be selected respondents from overseas specialists (in both theory
and practice in the field of archives, especially in the field of
conservation and preservation). According to this, all experts in
this field are invited to fill out this questionnaire to help us in
successful implementation of the project. Undoubtedly, your
accurate answers could help the researchers with better execution of
the study.

The time you will spend to complete this questionnaire can be very
valuable for us, so we sincerely ask you to complete this
questionnaire:

very helpful if you could provide your own information, experiences,
ideas, and suggestions (You can provide your name so your
information, experiences, ideas, and suggestions will be entered
under your ownname).

Due to the lack of time, I would appreciate yourimmediate attention
to this request. Thank you for your cooperation in advance
