Ambor paint tubes

The Munch Museum is currently studying the paint tubes of Edvard
Munch. A number of these are "Ambor" brand paint tubes sold by the
Parisian artists' supply firm Morin and Janet (5 rue Lepic). There
are some advertisements in French publications from the early 20th
century for products sold by Morin et Janet, or in earlier sources,
just E. or Eug Morin alone. However, I have so far been unable to
find information, in English or French, about the origins of this
firm or the production of their Ambor paint.

It would be extremely helpful to hear from anyone familiar with the
history of this company (particularly when it was founded), or who
knows of archival materials that make reference to Morin and Janet
and/or Ambor. Responses from others who are working with Ambor paint
tubes in their museums' collections would also be highly
appreciated.
