Fellowship in Objects Conservation Art Gallery of New South Wales Sydney Australia The Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney Australia is offering a Fellowship position in Objects Conservation from July 13, 2015 to December 18, 2015, with a salary equivalent to US$27,000. The position is financially supported by FAIC and the Samuel H. Kress Foundation. Applications are invited from recent graduates of recognised American (U.S. and Canadian) conservation training programs, or U.S./Canadian citizens graduating from graduate level conservation training programs worldwide, who are seeking to develop their conservation skills and cultural understanding of contemporary art objects, specifically Australian artworks made from plastics. The Fellow will also have an opportunity to participate in the daily activities of the conservation department, including display maintenance; processing of proposed and new acquisitions; and preparation of objects for exhibitions and outward loans.
