The Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk, Virginia
<URL:http://www.chrysler.org> is offering a nine month fellowship in
the conservation of paintings.

The Fellowship will focus on the study, examination and treatment of
paintings.  The successful candidate will gain experience working on
paintings in the museum's conservation laboratory and will
participate in all departmental activities including documentation,
analysis and research on the Chrysler's extensive collection.  They
will also gain experience in installations, changing exhibitions,
assessments and loans as well as interacting with the public through
gallery talks and demonstrations.

Fellowship will be available beginning in the fall of 2015, and
includes a $25,000 stipend.  The deadline for applications is May
15, 2015.  Eligibility: Candidates will be considered who are
currently enrolled in or have recently graduated from a recognized
conservation training program, or who have similar training or
experience.  The individual selected must be legally entitled to
work in the United States.  Interested candidates should submit
their resume and professional references.  Finalists will be asked
to submit examples from their portfolio of selected treatments. Send
