Call for papers "Embracing Cultural Materials Conservation in the Tropics" Asia Pacific Tropical Climate Conservation Art Research Network (APTCCARN) Conservation Center Cheng Shiu University Taiwan 25-27 November 2015 In 2015, APTCCARN (Asia Pacific Tropical Climate Conservation Art Research Network) will hold its 4th Meeting in Taiwan at the Conservation Center, Cheng Shiu University, Taiwan. With a focus on Asia Pacific's diverse climate, history and future, the meeting aims to embrace cultural materials conservation in the region, our experiences and the future. Issues such as developing a regional practice of cultural materials conservation within the needs, resources, communities and geographic place will be addressed. This is in light of recent extreme weather events, the current reality of the environment and sustainable practices. Call for papers: Due 1 June 2015 The organising committee now welcomes abstracts (maximum 250 words) for papers on the above themes. Paper presentations will be submitted as fully written papers to be published as a peer reviewed publication in 2016.
