Job Objective/Purpose: Contributes to the smooth operation and
delivery of exhibitions, loans and events of The National Gallery,
as well as other requirements as assigned from the Heritage
Conservation Centre, in assisting with collections management
related tasks and activities (operational and administrative), and
facilitating visits and access to the National Collection by
coordinating with both internal and external parties involved in
accordance to procedures and project timelines.  The candidate is to
uphold stewardship of the National Collection.

Relevant in-house trainings will be provided to successful
candidate.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

    Performs collection accessioning duties from information
    recording to visual documentation

    Ensures collections are properly accounted for by maintaining
    inventory of the collection, and through proper location update

    Maintains proper documentation of information on collection, new
    acquisitions, and loans according to procedures, instructions
    and guidelines.  Ensures that records are properly kept and
    maintained for easy retrieval and access

    Performs and assists in exhibition related tasks such as
    receiving of new acquisitions, managing artefact list and
    coordinates with Conservation Department, retrieving artworks
    for conservation and access purposes, facilitating and
    coordinating viewings, packing/unpacking for
    installation/de-installation, according to HCC procedures,
    instructions and guidelines

    Maintains and undertakes good preventive conservation and
    housekeeping practices in the repositories

    Assists with periodic stocktaking exercise of the collection (in
    HCC and The National Gallery)

    Provides supervisory roles to art-handlers whenever necessary

    Coordinates meetings, preparing agendas prior to meetings and
    notes/minutes of meeting

    Any other ah-hoc duties and projects assigned

Requirements:

    Minimum of 1 year relevant working experience will be
    advantageous

    Candidates should be meticulous, organised, able to multi-task,
    possess positive work deposition and attitude, independent,
    willing to learn and motivated

    Possess good teamwork and communication skills

    Competent in Microsoft Words, PowerPoint, Excel
