Saving Ecuador's Vernacular Village Architecture
Antiguo Convento de la parroquia de San Andres de Guano
San Andres, Ecuador
August 2-15, 2015

Cost: US$1,500

Adventures in Preservation (AiP), in partnership with Volunteer
South America, is offering an opportunity to discover vernacular
architecture and the traditional building techniques of Ecuador.
Under the guidance of conservation architect and Volunteer South
America Coordinator Juan Diego Badillo, participants will work to
restore the Antiguo Convento de la parroquia de San Andres de Guano.
This project aims to teach volunteers and community members alike
the traditional building skills necessary to preserve the
community's unique resources, using a significant site located
within a religious compound whose history spans centuries.

building techniques and conserve vernacular architecture in Ecuador,
